SRC Camp was a chance for all the SRC’s to get to know each other better and develop their leadership skills. We looked at our strengths in different aspects of leadership and identified what we needed to improve. During the discussion, themes of collaboration and communication came up regularly. The SRC camp let us have a chance to set up some goals for the upcoming year. Part of this was creating a social justice goal. Our guest speaker Carla Leversedge, General Manager Community Services from St Vinnies, spoke about different social justice issues, what social work looks like, and her coffee preferences. Through this camp, the SRC’s were able to gauge a better understanding of leadership, collaboration, and improving the college for students.
