R U OK WEEK @ TMC
A conversation can change a life.
This year’s R U OK? Week at Thomas More College was filled with fun activities, laughter, music, and connection, all reminding us of the power of checking in with one another. From wearing yellow to enjoying time together, our community demonstrated that supporting one another can be simple, meaningful, and even joyful.
You don’t need to be an expert to reach out, just a good friend and a great listener. By asking R U OK?, listening, encouraging action, and checking in, we can all play a part in supporting those around us.
A special highlight of the week came during our R U OK? Liturgy, where the song Golden (from the new K-pop show) was played. Seeing all year levels join in, singing along, and sharing laughter together, was a powerful reminder to our community that you are golden, and you should always be proud of who you are.
While we celebrate R U OK? Week Once a year, the message is for every day. Let’s keep the conversations going and continue to look out for our friends, family, and community, today and every day.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all staff who supported the week, in particular Emma Cannon and Kate Onofrio, for their incredible efforts in planning and managing all the activities. Without you, this week would not have been possible. Thank you!
