SRC Camp was a chance for all the SRC’s to get to know each other better and develop their leadership skills. We looked at our strengths in different aspects of leadership and identified what we needed to improve. During the discussion, themes of collaboration and communication came up regularly. The SRC camp let us have a chance to set up some goals for the upcoming year. Part of this was creating a social justice goal. Our guest speaker Carla Leversedge, General Manager Community Services from St Vinnies, spoke about different social justice issues, what social work looks like, and her coffee preferences. Through this camp, the SRC’s were able to gauge a better understanding of leadership, collaboration, and improving the college for students.

The Year 12 Tourism class had a great trip to the Adelaide Zoo last week. We learned a lot from the Zoo educator about the sustainability of the Zoo and how it operates as both a conservation charity and a tourist attraction.

Year 12 Outdoor Ed students went go on a 2-day excursion along the beautiful SA coastline. The group visited places like the Torrens, West Beach, Semaphore, Greenfields Wetlands and Outer Harbour. During this excursion, students investigated the impacts that are present on our coastline and the management strategies that are in place. Students were able to explore if we are doing enough to protect our beautiful coastline and marine ecosystems. They were able to collect primary data for their Coastal Impacts Assignment. On the second day, students got the opportunity to escape the heat with a swim at the beautiful Port Willunga.

Dear Parents and Caregivers,
The Australian Government Department of Education requires the College to provide a statement of statement of student residential addresses, in accordance with the Australian Education Regulation 2013 (Cth) (Regulation).
A statement of addresses contains the following information about each student at the school:
- Student residential address (not student names)
- Student level of education (i.e. whether the student is a primary or secondary student)
- Name and residential addresses of Person(s) responsible for each student. In general, the person responsible will be the student’s parent/guardian.
Please follow the link to the 2025 Collection Notice for more information
Please ensure that the College has current residential addresses recorded for students and parents, including separate addresses where parents and/or caregivers live apart.
Students and families are reminded to be wary of approaches from strangers, especially when they are unaccompanied or travelling to and from school. If they are approached students should not respond and should not accept offers of rides or gifts.
Students should seek the assistance of other nearby adults if they feel unsafe and should report the event to a trusted adult (parent or school staff member) as soon as possible.
SAPOL advises that taking out a mobile phone and calling police can deter the offender and they recommend the student making a formal report to their closest police station.
For guidance on what to teach your child about strategies for saying safe, view this link: SAPOL Personal Safety | Safety for Young People
